Violent Femmes
Bec Reid
Whilst the rest of Brisbane was preparing for the wrath of Cyclone Debbie on this balmy evening in March, another type of cyclone was brewing inside the Tivoli - the gusty, torrential genius of American folk-punk legends Violent Femmes.
And when it rains - pours (beers and sweat).
Not only that, the lucky ticket holders were also introduced to the magical sounds of support act Rayella, hailing all the way from the Marlinja Community, located approximately 730 kilometres south of Darwin in the remote Northern Territory of Australia.
Check out Sarah Ponturo's review in scenestr below. Bec Reid was behind the camera for us too. Thanks Bec!
